For oily & acne prone skin. Vitamin A stimulates cell turnover which helps brighten the skin and also alleviates acne by normalizing the skin. This form of vitamin A (retinyl palmitate) is much milder than trans-retinoic acid found in prescription acne medications. The retinyl palmitate is absorbed into the skin where it is slowly converted to an active form of vitamin A (trans-retinoic acid, retinal, and retinol are all active forms of Vitamin A). Vitamin A is present naturally in the skin and is easily broken down by exposure to UV. This cream replenishes the amount of Vitamin A found naturally in the skin. This night cream has twice as much Vitamin A as the Pomegranate Day Cream with Vitamin A. This allows intense night-time replenishment. Lightweight night cream with just a touch of pomegranate oil. Pomegranate oil absorbs readily into the skin and contains high levels of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), which are vital to skin health. This cream contains Vitamins A, C, & E plus green tea extract. It also utilizes a unique blend of the alpha and beta hydroxy acids, lactic acid and salicylic acid, to provide gentle exfoliation without causing excessive dryness or redness. NOTE: Though Vitamin A is in our diets, in our skin, and is essential for life, too much Vitamin A is considered teratogenic. Topical Vitamin A creams are contraindicated for pregnancy as they pose a teratogenic risk. Though this cream contains a milder form of Vitamin A than found in prescription acne medications, please do not use this product during pregnancy-our primary concern here at Return to Eden is safety, EVERYTHING ELSE is secondary to that concern. If you experience redness when using this product, use every other day until you build up a tolerance to the concentration of Vitamin A present in this cream. It may be beneficial to use one of our day creams containing Vitamin A as the concentration of Vitamin A is lower in our day creams. This will help you build up a tolerance to Vitamin A.
