Peptide Rich Serum with Matrixyl
Sarah, the first matriarch, was a woman of exceptional beauty, even as she aged. We named this oil free serum for Sarah because it contains two matrikines, peptides that stimulate extracellular matrix (ECM) regeneration. This includes stimulating collagen, hyaluronic acid, and laminin production reducing the depth of wrinkles.
- Matrixyl 3000 - two active peptides: Palmitoyl Oligopeptide (and) Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7. A cream containing 3% Matrixyl 3000 was shown to reduce wrinkle depth and volume by at least 15% over the course of 56 days (twice daily application) in a study performed by the manufacturer, Sederma. Please see this link for an overview of Matrixyl 3000 and a link to the manufacturer's report.
Sodium hyaluronate and panthenol help prevent trans epidermal water loss (TEWL). Sodium PCA, a natural moisturizing factor (NMF), also aids in hydrating the skin.
The peptide, Diaminopropionoyl Tripeptide-33 (Preventhelia) offers both sun protection and healing by helping scavenge radical species (thus preventing cellular damage during sun exposure) and repairing DNA (post-sun exposure).
I have been adding Diaminopropionoyl Tripeptide-33 (Preventhelia) to all lotions I use (whether I make them or buy them) for treating sun exposed skin for years, and the difference in treated skin vs. untreated skin is profound.
The peptide Acetyl Tetrapeptide-40 (Telangyn) offers anti-inflammatory protection and combats redness. Whether you're battling redness from sun exposure or rosacea, this peptide helps keep redness at bay.
This serum may be used both day or night alone or on top of all other products (except makeup of course).
This serum is great for all skin types but is most suited for mature skin. Most people with acne can use this serum without issue, but please note the pH of this serum is lower than most of our other products (making it even better for dry skin types) so for those with extremely sensitive acne prone skin, this serum may cause breakouts.
Due to the slightly lower pH of this serum, it is not recommended for acne prone skin. This serum is designed for mature skin types, and because of that we target a slightly lower pH for this formulation, which is designed to help retain skin's moisture.

I’ve been using Sarah’s serum for a few weeks now, and I’ve noticed such an improvement in my skin’s texture. It absorbs so nicely and I love that it isn’t heavily scented. My husband has a sensitive nose and a lot of nighttime products smell too strongly for him.
